The ADO Board of Directors is composed of members elected by the ADO membership and also includes the director of the State Budget & Control Board, and the Governor's designee and the Chief Justice of the South Carolina Supreme Court's designee, serve on the board as voting ex-officio members. Please view the current list of ADO Board of Directors. The ADO Board annually elects the ADO officers.
The purpose of the ADO is to improve the administration and management of state government through enhancing the idea of public service and increasing the opportunities for the exchange of information, programs, and ideas among the members.
The ADO usually holds a conference in the fall which is restricted to ADO members and a spring forum, to which Deputy Directors are also invited to attend. The Conference and Forum support the organization in fulfilling its purpose and provide an opportunity for their annual business meeting.
